An app and development process designed for collaboration
The Salesforce Chatter app, developed in advance of Dreamforce for a keynote demonstration, streamlines and simplifies enterprise collaboration. With the app, colleagues can share documents, engage in discussions, get real-time project updates, and remain connected in or out of the office.

Exemplary interface
ArcTouch and Salesforce collaborated on Chatter’s unique visual design, heralded by Apple for its model use of iOS user-interface guidelines.
Mobilizing force
Integrating the collaborative strength of Salesforce into an iOS app made its business-essential tools mobile. It also put ArcTouch at the forefront of custom enterprise apps for sales teams.
No signal? No problem.
Integrating the collaborative strength of Salesforce into an iOS app made its business-essential tools mobile. It also put ArcTouch at the forefront of custom enterprise apps for sales teams.
Challenge
No Salesforce mobile app developers were available internally, but the company needed an iPad application to feature in their Dreamforce conference keynote in three months. ArcTouch had to jumpstart the project with no delay, immersing its team for rapid engagement and delivering quick results.
Solution
ArcTouch engineers worked on-site at Salesforce, collaborating closely with their visual designers. This staff augmentation model, one we apply often, proved remarkably effective. Our team subdivided to focus part on main app features and part on promising feature prototypes and user-interface options. This allowed for separate demos, faster feedback, and an on-schedule launch. This was the first of a series of engagements with Salesforce and with other clients requiring mobile apps with Salesforce integration.
