Magellan Health reached out to ArcTouch for help in improving the company’s Magellan Rx digital experience by building its first mobile app. Previously, the service was only available through a website with limited capabilities. Adding a modern app-based experience for iOS and Android would help Magellan offer a more complete prescription benefit solution to their customers and members.
The key product goal was to improve the information and resources available to consumers and empower them with self-service tools to help make the process of purchasing medication more transparent and convenient.
Creating mobile applications in healthcare also requires a high level of care when it comes to privacy and data security. The app needed to be HIPAA compliant and completely secure. The company also wanted to make sure the app was accessible, to better serve a diverse member base
